Correlation results are calculated using historical total return data (based on market price for U.S. stocks and ETFs and based on NAV for mutual funds) provided by FactSet. Correlation is measured using the Pearson Correlation Coefficient, a statistical measure of linear relationship between two return series.

Return data frequency used in the analysis is determined by the length of the analysis timeframe with the interval of 1-10 years.

  • For timeframes of three years or less, weekly total return data is used.
  • For timeframe greater than three years, monthly total return data is used.

Historical data availability is subject to FactSet coverage. If sufficient historical data is not available to support the full requested period, correlation may be calculated using a shorter available history.

  • Weekly return data is available beginning August 23, 2019.
  • Monthly return data is available beginning July 31, 2012.

Correlation results are based on historical data, reflect linear relationships only, and do not predict future performance or correlation. This information is provided for informational and educational purposes only and should not be relied upon as research, investment advice, or a recommendation regarding any security, strategy, or investment product.

In Portfolio mode, correlations are calculated based on the specified asset allocations using a buy-and-hold approach. No rebalancing functionality is included in the portfolio feature.

Please adjust allocation to ensure total weight equals to 100.00%.

Please enter an allocation above 0 for ticker(s) in your portfolio or remove below ticker(s) without allocation from portfolio.
