    Kushal Shah is an Assistant Vice President within the ESG Investment Strategy team covering the Europe, Middle East and Africa (EMEA) regions. He is responsible for ESG initiatives, client requests and portfolio analytics, with specific expertise in climate-oriented solutions.

    Previously, he was a senior researcher within the SSGA Global Equity Beta Solutions team, responsible for research and development of equity smart beta and index products with a focus on incorporating climate and ESG factors in the portfolio construction process. Prior to joining State Street, Kushal worked at HDFC Bank within the FX Sales team. In that role, he was responsible for advising clients on their currency exposures, executing deals on their behalf, and developing and back-testing optimal hedging strategies. He has interned at Citibank, working with the Trading & Structuring teams to build pricing models for derivative products on equity indices. 

    Kushal holds an MS in financial economics from Columbia Business School, an MBA from the Indian Institute of Management, Bangalore, and a B. Tech. in Electrical & Electronics Engineering from the National Institute of Technology, Trichy.
