        Stefano is a Senior ESG research and data analyst at State Street Global Advisors. He is currently leading SSGA's ESG research efforts, and working on maintaining SSGA's ESG data architecture, as well as creating ESG quantitative scoring models and tools.

        Prior to joining State Street Global Advisors in 2017, Mr. Maffina was a Research Associate at Calvert Investments and Calvert Research and Management (Washington, D.C.).

        Before joining Calvert, Mr. Maffina worked for the insurance team of the sustainability advocacy NGO Ceres. Previously, he was employed by Tessolar, a Massachusetts-based renewable consulting startup, and was a market and industry Analyst for a multinational chemical company in Europe.

        MBA from the University of Massachusetts Boston, BA and MA from the University of Verona, FSA certification.
