Peter Kooken is Vice President and head of SSGA's US Defined Contribution marketing initiative. In his role, Peter leads the strategy and execution of SSGA's marketing programs to build the SSGA brand with defined contribution plan sponsors, consultants and advisors, and win and retain new business for the DC franchise.

Prior to joining SSGA, Peter served as head of institutional marketing at Financial Engines, the nation's largest managed account provider. Before Financial Engines, Peter led retirement plan marketing for New York Life Retirement Plan Services. Peter started his career at Fidelity Investments.

Peter earned a MBA with a concentration in marketing and BS in Finance from Boston College.
