Gaurav Mallik

Gaurav is a Senior Managing Director of State Street Global Advisors and the Chief Investment Strategist. He leads a team of professionals responsible for helping advisors, consultants and institutional clients analyze economic and market developments, assess the impact to their portfolios and identify specific products and solutions to help them manage risk and take advantage of market opportunities. He leads our Macroeconomic and policy, Investment strategy and research, and a team of client facing portfolio strategists. He is a member of the firm's Executive Management Group.

Gaurav represents the investment organization on the company’s Global Product Committee and Sales Practices Committee. He also leads the Editorial board, which is responsible for thought leadership across State Street Global Advisors.

Prior to this role, he led our client facing portfolio strategist team, driving revenue growth across our product suite. He has considerable experience working with clients on strategies for investing in emerging markets and has managed assets covering both active emerging market equities and cross asset within emerging markets.

He started his career as a part of the quantitative credit research team at State Street Global Markets. He joined State Street Global Markets from SKG, Inc., a company he founded with State Street in 2001 focused on trading illiquid bonds.

Gaurav holds an MBA in Finance from Cornell University, a Master in Electrical Engineering, with a focus on Neural Networks, from Boston University and a BS in Electrical Engineering from Robert Gordon's University in Aberdeen.
