Chief Compliance Officer
Ed Delk is Senior Vice President and Chief Compliance Officer of the Investment Management (IM) arm of State Street Corporation. He leads a global team responsible for ensuring the compliance program keeps pace with business growth and the ever-changing global regulatory environment. Working in collaboration with senior leaders across the firm—and with State Street’s Global Corporate Compliance Program—Ed executes the strategic vision for State Street IM, while providing technical compliance advice and consulting across all functions, including sales, product, brokerdealer, investments, and trading. Ed is a member of the IM Executive Management Group.
Ed has 30 years of compliance and legal experience in asset management, financial product development and global distribution for registered and private funds, managed accounts, UCITS and other investment products.
Prior to joining State Street in September 2024, Ed was Senior Vice President and Global Chief Compliance Officer of Cohen & Steers (ticker: CNS). In this role, he oversaw a global team of compliance professionals responsible for the day-to-day compliance functions of its US mutual funds, broker-dealer, UCITS funds, private funds, non-traded REIT and other vehicles. Prior to Cohen & Steers, Ed held senior legal and compliance leadership roles with Advent Capital Management, Insight Venture Partners, TIAA and Vanguard. While at Vanguard, Ed co-invented a patented method of administering an investment fund that seeks to provide regular monthly payments without consuming principal.*
Ed holds a BA in English Literature from the University of Virginia and a JD from The George Washington University Law School. He is a member of the bar of the State of New York.
