        Sharon Ruffles is a Managing Director and the Head of the Fixed Income Trading Team, EMEA, at State Street Investment Management. The Fixed Income Trading Team is responsible for trading all fixed income products, ranging from government and investment grade credit bonds to convertible and emerging market bonds and derivative products.

        Sharon began her career in investment management in 1986 as an investment portfolio analyst with Credit Suisse First Boston, London. In 1994, she joined the fixed income trading desk at Credit Suisse Asset Management where she traded all fixed income products, including foreign exchange (FX). Her primary responsibility was monitoring and trading Scandinavian and emerging market bonds. In 2000, Sharon joined Gartmore Investment Management as a senior fixed income trader, with primary focus on investment grade credit along with FX and all other fixed income products.

        Sharon has led the fixed income trading team at State Street Investment Management since 2004, growing the team from two to five dedicated fixed income traders. Sharon is a member of the Investment Association Fixed Income Traders Committee and other relevant industry forums where she actively participates in industry-wide market structure and regulatory discussions and initiatives.
