Minkyu Kim

Minkyu Kim is a Managing Director and Head of Data and Analytics on the Systematic Equity team at State Street Investment Management. Minkyu spearheads Systematic Equity's research efforts that leverage alternative data and machine learning, driving innovation in the team's investment process. He also plays a pivotal role in shaping the firm's strategy on data, computing infrastructure and the quantitative research environment as chair of the Research / IT Council.

Previously, within State Street Investment Management, Minkyu conducted quantitative research for various active equity strategies for the US, North America, and global developed and emerging markets.

Minkyu earned a Doctorate and Master of Science (SM) in Electrical Engineering and Computer Science, with a minor in Finance, from Massachusetts Institute of Technology, as well as a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering from Seoul National University, South Korea.
