        Matt Nest is a Managing Director and Global Head of Active Fixed Income for State Street Investment Management. In this capacity, Matt is responsible for global active rates, investment grade credit, multi-sector portfolio solutions, insurance, currency, municipal, and structured credit strategies.

        Prior to joining State Street Investment Management in 2016, Matt spent 16 years at PIMCO in a number of functions including portfolio management, strategy, and business development. He has worked in the US, Australia, Singapore, and Hong Kong. Matt started his career at Bank of America and has been working in the investment industry since 1999.

        Matt has a Master of Business Administration from University of Chicago’s Booth School of Business and a Bachelor of Science in Economics from Arizona State University. He earned the Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) designation and is a member of the CFA Institute.
