Chief Financial Officer
Apea Amoa is a Chief Financial Officer at State Street Investment Management, the fourth largest asset manager in the world.
Apea is responsible for the development and execution of the financial strategy for State Street Investment Management. He defines and delivers the overall financial approach for State Street Investment Management, including financial forecasting, management reporting, investment tracking, and pricing. Additionally, Apea is responsible for communicating and driving the global business priorities to deliver better financial results. In this role he also drives continuous improvements to financial analytics and productivity.
Additionally, Apea leads all of State Street Investment Management’s finance-related interactions with State Street pertaining to earnings preparation and other Investor Relations matters, Comprehensive Capital Analysis and Review (CCAR), corporate initiatives, and merger and acquisition activity.
Apea joined State Street Investment Management in January 2012 as EMEA Head of Financial Planning and Analysis, based in London, where he covered the EMEA region and the Global Official Institutions business. In January 2019, Apea became the State Street Investment Management's Global Head of Financial Planning and Analysis and CFO of the Global Institutional Group. In this capacity, he had responsibility for all financial reporting and analysis for the State Street Investment Management business, providing clear and insightful analysis and explanations of actual, budgeted, and forecasted results to the firm's Executive Management and Operating Group members.
Apea began his career working in the audit and assurance practice of Arthur Andersen and subsequently Deloitte, where he qualified as a Chartered Accountant. He is now a Fellow member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales. Prior to joining State Street Investment Management, Apea spent eight years at Morgan Stanley Private Wealth Management in London where he held several roles including Head of the Management Reporting team, Head of Revenue Analysis and Reporting, as well as several revenue analysis roles.
