Quarterly Investment Outlook: Q3 2026

Executive Vice President, Global Chief Investment Officer

As we enter the second half of 2026, the investment backdrop is being shaped less by a single base case than by a widening range of possible outcomes for growth, inflation, and policy. Geopolitical tensions, volatile energy prices, supply-chain risks and fiscal strains have all added to that uncertainty. In this environment, we believe portfolios should be built for resilience, with an emphasis on quality, diversification, and selectivity.

Volatility has created a broader dispersion of opportunities across regions and asset classes, but it has also reinforced the need for discipline. We continue to see opportunities in equities where valuations and earnings resilience remain supportive, and in fixed income where higher starting yields have restored income as a meaningful driver of returns.

Our new-look quarterly investment outlook builds on the market forecasts publication previously shared each quarter, bringing together our latest macro, asset class, and market views in a fresh format.
