Anna Mitelman Lester
Anna is a Vice President of State Street Global Advisors and a Senior Portfolio Manager for the Active Quantitative Equity team. In this role, she has managed a range of quantitative strategies with a focus on both US and small cap. Anna also leads the ESG research and integration efforts for the group. She has published ESG research in the Journal of Investment Management in addition to publishing in the field of genetic programming in stock selection.
Anna has almost twenty years of experience in quantitative equity research and investment management. Prior to joining SSGA, she was a portfolio manager and researcher at Putnam Investments and its subsidiary PanAgora Asset Management. In this role, she conducted quantitative equity research related to stock selection and portfolio construction. She also managed US and European small cap portfolios. Anna holds a BA in Mathematics and Computer Science, from Wellesley College and an MBA from the Sloan School of Management at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology. She is a member of the Boston Security Analysts Society and CFA Institute.
