Manage Your Investment Through Our Unit Registry
After you’ve made an investment with State Street Global Advisors’ SPDR ETFs, it’s important you provide additional details to Link Market Services (Link). Link is the unit registry for all Australian SPDR ETF holdings. By logging into their Investor Centre you can update your personal details and set your communication preferences.
It’s fast and easy to do, and there are no costs involved to set up and use your Link account.
Below is a quick guide on how to access the Investor Center online.
Under “Single Holding Logon”, enter the Issuer Name. That’s “State Street Global Advisors” or “SPDR” for all Australian SPDR ETFs or “SPY” for the SPDR S&P 500 ETF Trust.
Enter your Security holder Reference Number (SRN) or Holder Identification Number (HIN) A HIN is a unique number that is issued to you by ASX when you become a client of a broker. You can find your HIN On the top right hand corner of your welcome, letter, holding statement and other shareholder communications.A HIN usually starts with the letter ‘X’, ‘I’ or ‘C’ and followed by a series of numbers, e.g. X0001234567. If you’re looking for your HIN via your brokerage account or trade note, it may be displayed without the X. e.g. 1234567.
Enter the postcode of your address used with your online broker or issuer sponsored account. If your registered address is overseas, select Outside Australia.
Type in the “Security Code” displayed on the screen6 Click on the box to accept the terms and conditions and then click “Login"
Note you may also log in using your Link “Portfolio Login”, if you have previously established one with Link or your unitholding in SPDR ETFs is valued more than $50,000.
After you’ve logged in, below are some items you may wish to review and update.
Update your Communication Preferences

To ensure these are provided in a timely and efficient manner we would appreciate you providing us your email address. With our dedication to environmental, social and governance (ESG) issues, we are pleased to offer all your investor communications electronically. You can do this via the steps below.
Log into the Link Investor Center
Click the “Communications” tab
Check “All Communications Electronically”
Select or enter the relevant email address
Review and Update the Payments & Tax Section
Tax residency certification: Go to “Payments & Tax” on the menu and select “FATCA/CRS” to complete your self-certification. All investors are required to self-certify under the Foreign Account Tax Compliance Act (FATCA) and Common Reporting Standard (CRS) rules if they are a foreign or Australian resident for tax purposes. Please note that if you do not complete the self-certification, we are required to report information about you to the Australian Taxation Office (ATO).
Distribution payments: Go to “Payments & Tax” on the menu, select “Payment Instructions” and enter your nominated bank, building society or credit union account details;
To participate in the Distribution Reinvestment Plan: Go to “Payments & Tax” on the menu, select “Reinvestment Plan” (or “DRP” if accessing via mobile). Joint holders will need to print, complete and return the form available online.
Note: if you do not provide bank account details, you will automatically be enrolled in the DRP. (The DRP is not available to US investors.)
TFN, ABN or exemption details: Go to “Payments & Tax” on the menu, select “Tax Details”. Enter your Tax File Number (TFN) or Australian Business Number (ABN) and/or any exemption details.
