        Kushal Shah is a Climate Specialist and Vice President with the global ESG Investment Strategy team at SSGA. In this role, he is the subject matter expert on climate-related investment topics to drive SSGA’s climate agenda, and to support our net zero commitments.

        Previously, he held the role of ESG Specialist with the EMEA ESG Investment Strategy team, with responsibility for ESG initiatives, client requests and portfolio analytics, with specific expertise in climate-oriented solutions. In his previous role as a senior quantitative researcher with the erstwhile SSGA Global Equity Beta Solutions team, Kushal was responsible for research and development of equity index products with a focus on incorporating climate and ESG factors in the portfolio construction process. Prior to joining State Street, he has worked at HDFC Bank in an FX Sales role and interned at Citibank on the Index Trading & Structuring desks.

        Kushal holds an MS in financial economics from Columbia Business School, an MBA from the Indian Institute of Management, Bangalore, and a B. Tech. in Electrical & Electronics Engineering from the National Institute of Technology, Trichy.
