  Koji Yamamoto
President and Representative Director

Koji is a Senior Managing Director of State Street Global Advisors and President and Representative Director of State Street Global Advisors (Japan) Co., Ltd. He joined the firm in May 2000 as Senior Managing Director, Head of Marketing. Koji is a member of SSgA's Senior Management Group. He also serves as Vice Chairman of Japan Securities Investment Advisers Association (JSIAA).

Prior to SSgA, he was Chief Investment Officer at UBS Trust & Banking, Tokyo for 4 years and was responsible for managing assets of Japanese government, public, and private pension plans and financial institutions. Before UBS, he worked for AIG for 16 years, holding a wide range of fund management positions, including managing life and non-life insurance assets, off-shore Japanese equity mutual funds, hedge funds, etc. At AIG Investment Corporation, he spent 5 years in New York and Hong Kong.

Koji holds a BA from Rikkyo University in Tokyo and an MBA from Chaminade University in Honolulu.
  Hideki Takayama

Hideki is a Senior Managing Director of State Street Global Advisors and Chief Investment Officer of State Street Global Advisors (Japan) Co., Ltd. He joined the firm in January 2003 from Merrill Lynch Investment Managers in Tokyo, where as Deputy Chief Investment Officer, he led both the quantitative and fixed income management teams. Prior to MLIM, he was CIO of Credit Suisse Asset Management in Japan. Before CSAM , he worked as a portfolio manager on the quantitative investment team at Japan Bankers Trust for 6 years.

Hideki holds a Master of Science in Management from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology as well as a Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Tokyo. He is also a graduate of the Advanced Management Program of Harvard Business School.
  Masatoshi Tobita
Head of Marketing

Masatoshi is a Vice President of State Street Global Advisors and Head of Marketing of State Street Global Advisors (Japan) Co., Ltd.

He joined State Street Trust and Banking, Investment Management Division as the Head of Marketing in April 2001 from Société Générale Asset Management (Japan) where he had served as an Executive Officer of Relationship Management Group in charge of major Japanese public pension funds. Prior to SG, he worked for Nippon Credit Bank as a General Manager in the Marketing Department of NCB Investment Management for one year from 1998. Before that he spent 20 years at Yamaichi Securities, mainly as a General Manager in the Financial Institutions Department, and as a Vice President at its office in New York.

Masatoshi holds a BA in Economics from Rikkyo University and an MBA from Manchester University in England.
  David A Collins
Head of Securities Marketing & Client Service
SSgA - Japan

David is a Vice President of State Street Global Advisors and heads up the Securities Marketing & Client Service business at State Street Global Advisors in Japan. This unit covers marketing activities for three lines of business, which include Exchange Traded Funds (ETFs), Global Alliance products and services, and investment trusts. He serves on SSgA's Japan Executive Committee.

Prior to this position, David was head of business development efforts for various investment products, including solutions for Japanese clients and the introduction of products from Japan to global clients. In addition to product-related activities David also oversaw third-party distribution.

David joined SSgA in 2002 from Standard & Poor's, where he was managing director in charge of all index operations in the Asia-Pacific region. At S&P he was instrumental in developing business alliances with institutional investors and the major stock exchanges in the region, and he oversaw the launch of exchange traded funds and derivatives products. Prior to S&P, David was a member of Salomon Brothers' research department in Tokyo.

David is a graduate of Cornell College, where he earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Philosophy and Political Science, and the University of Michigan, where he obtained a Master of Arts in Japanese Studies. A 20-year resident of Japan, David passed Level 1 of the Japanese Language Proficiency Exam in 1995.
